Why use a hot pad that keeps falling off? These handle covers mean you can reach for your cast iron skillet on the stove whenever you want to.

Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover

Materials needed:
A few ounces worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook size F (3.75 mm)
Yarn needle

Instructions:
Sc 4, sl st into first loop.
Rnd 1: 10 sc in center of crocheted circle.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in the top of each sc from rnd 1
Rnds 3-30: sc in the top of each sc in previous rnd.
End off, leaving long strand of yarn.
Finishing:
Pull yarn through last loop, and thread through a yarn needle. Bring to inside and stitch through a few loops on the inside to secure yarn. Cut off excess yarn.

Fits most cast iron skillet handles. If it needs to be bigger, add an extra stitch in the first round.
