Something fun I created years ago. Here are the directions.
Making Charlotte's Web
Materials: 8 oz. worsted weight yarn Crochet hook, size I
Sizes: Child (Adult in parentheses)
Neckband: Ch 70 (80), sl st in first chain, ch 3, dc in next 69 (79) ch, sl st in top of ch 3. (Note: neckband can be made wider or narrower here by adding or subtracting stitches for the starting chain. Just be sure it has an even number of chain stitches.)
Web: Rnd 1: ch 10, *skp 1 dc, sc in top of next dc, ch 10, repeat from * all the way around. After last ch 10, sl st in top of ch 3 from the neckband. Do 5 sc around first half of first ch 10 loop. Rnd 2: ch 10, *sc in top of next ch 10 loop from previous row, ch 10, repeat from * all the way around. After last ch 10, sl st around middle of ch 10 loop from previous row. Do 5 sc around first half of first ch 10 loop in this rnd. Rnd 3-19 (24): Repeat Rnd 2. (Note: pattern can be lengthened or shortened here by adding or subtracting rounds.)
Bobble row: Rnd 20 (25): *Ch 12, do 3 dc in 3rd ch from hook, 3 dc in each of the next 4 ch (let it curl up), slip st in next ch, ch 5, sc in top of next ch 10 loop from previous row, repeat from * all the way around. To end last loop, sl st in top of first ch 10 loop of previous row, cut yarn, pull through.
Finishing: Weave yarn into stitches of nearby loops. Best done with a crochet hook several sizes smaller. Tuck in end of yard in neck band.
This pattern created by Charlotte Meyer of Maquoketa, Iowa.
This pattern may be printed off for personal use, but may not be added to any other collection.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
